Less than ideal and really doesn't work for sorting photos.
When downloading from Google Photos, the Date Created, Date Modified and Content Created fields (when viewed through Macbook Finder) all get set to the date/time of the download, not the original dates.
A little late to the thread, but, I use Google Photos on my phone and my wife's iPhone.
